Moyes Out ( Released )
Posted the same last year. Nothing has changed, except win don't win matches anymore.
I'm fed up, we can do much better

Chim - spot on
I’ve actually seen an Arsenal fan online asking how on earth can a club get rid of a manager that’s won them a trophy

I can’t get my head round how people can’t understand how your past performances have got anything to do with what’s currently happening
Alex Ferguson was the most successful premier league manager of all time, if he’d of developed dementia during his later years managing there and had started fielding a kettle and a toaster up front, would Man Utd of allowed that to continue based on what he’d done for the club up to that point
And on that note why do players retire????? Why don’t they continue playing well into their 80’s, they used to be good so why does it matter that they’re not anymore

The last time I saw shit like this over a manager was Allardyce but AFTER that it was Wenger at Arsenal.

The Allardyce love in taught me enough about management that when talking about Wenger with Arsenal supporters (I live in north London) I would always say 'no supporters of any other club can REALLY give good advice because you have to watch every game, judge his substitutions, listen to his media and watch who he buys and sells-and no supporter of another club can be THAT arsed about your club, whoever you are'.

If any of your other team supporters give you the 'be careful what you wish for' ask if they'd like him at THEIR club'?

Football supporters know fuck all about the ins and outs at other clubs. Pundits know even less.

I’m trying to be helpful to the sad jock here now.
If he doesn’t fancy the vacancy at the Lytham soup kitchen, he can look out for vacancies in the Lowland and Highland leagues in his country of birth. The crowds are a bit limited so managers wages are not great but he says he loves the game so income should not be a consideration.

So farewell Moyesey, the Sunderland and West Ham fans wish you all you deserve!

J. Riddle - that’s the sort of shit that’s getting right up my nose at the moment
Morons commenting on what they don’t know

Here’s a good example, Phil Foden has just won the sorts writers player of the year
Now that seems harsh on Cole Palmer who despite playing less games, has Foden beat on both goals and assists
However, has Foden been a better overall player this season? I couldn’t possibly comment on that because I don’t watch the full games of Man City or Chelsea every week to be able to have a realistic opinion

It's hardly the tough luck story you're portraying there.

He had to sell 2 players (Nunes and Neves) for a load of money.

In the 2 transfer windows he had (winter 22/23, and summer '23), Wolves spent almost £130m on players.

That was a lack of signings/broken promises. I imagine if he had a bloke pitching up with the likes of Alvarez and Kudus he wouldn’t have booted off. My point remains, as long as Stiedten is given funds and is rocking up with sensible signings, I don’t think he’ll be falling out with people.

I’d imagine he’ll be signing in the knowledge Stiedten is in charge of player recruitment too.

Will get a standing round of applause from me, should have gone at the end of last season but credit for that cup and saving us from the drop in his first season.

Good luck to him, unless he’s managing a team we are playing!

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
I’m loving all these other non West Ham fans who are so enraged by us SACKING Moyes and claiming we’ll be relegated next season

For starters he wasn’t sacked even though he should’ve been, and to state we’ll now get relegated would be to state that West Ham’s squad is absolute dog shit, and who would be to blame for that??? It can’t be Moyes cos apparently he’s an absolutely brilliant manager, even though none of those people saying that about him would want him at their club
But apparently he’s given us consecutive top 10 finishes for 3 seasons in a row (providing you overlook last year when he didn’t) might as well throw in 6 league titles and 2 FA cups in that time as well if you’re just gonna make shit up
People are absolutely thick as fuck cunts these days who don’t know what they’re talking about but feel the need to pipe up cos social media has made everyone feel like that have some sort of importance in life when in reality they’re just CUNTS

Still be out of work at that point, will he?

I'd have thought he'd be in a job, and you would be on your new favourite club's website, arguing with your new fanbase telling them all he's actually a winner despite what they're watching?

It's crazy to think there's divs like wd40 and a cocked up Merson out there who are still banging the "careful what you wish for" drum after we've just had our pants pulled down by Chelsea.

That was not to do with a Technical Director.

He said he was told what transfer budget he had and then when into the job got told he had zero and had to sell players due to FFP. Wolves board must've known this when taking him on. So it would seem it was more to do with trust and being lied to.

To be fair to Wolves though they have fallen on their feet with O'Neill it seems.

See you at the end of the season David when you join again to save us from the drop.

He was doing well at Wolves wasn't he before he had a fallout with them?

I am just clinging on to the hope that it wont be worse than whats been served up since xmas, and hopefully one or two decent signings and some of the youngsters get given a go

"The positive news on Lopetegui is he has already stated he likes working with a technical director so I don’t see many fall outs around signings"

hahaha - He left his last job because he had a fall out about signings!

It'll be interesting to see where Moyes ends up. He doesn't really have time on his side to be having much of a career break so I'd imagine he'd want to get back out on it.

Or maybe he see's himself as one of those managers who get paid shit loads to try and bail a team out of relegation? That's probably more his level.

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
My biggest issue is his inability to adapt or maybe his stubbornness. The only game in the last few months we’ve looked good is when we went toe to toe with the German champions at home and pressed high up the pitch because he had no choice. What did he do next? Low block at Palace, concede 5. Yes we tired against Leverkusen (because he has conditioned the squad to play without the ball, and without pressing) but most teams in the league aren’t at Leverkusen’s level. Its just baffling he can never see what others do.

The positive news on Lopetegui is he has already stated he likes working with a technical director so I don’t see many fall outs around signings. Expect Tim to be private jetting here, there and everywhere this summer!

joyo, you shouldn't bring things like Autism into the conversation, why? because if any set of people showed the likeliness for being on the Autism spectrum it would be you Moyes's boys.......people with Autism don't like change either you see.....so leave them alone and don't use them for your sly digs.........

Re: Moyes Out ( Released )
It's rare any manager sees out a contract let alone two at the same club. So rare in fact that it seems that people don't understand the process as opposed to a sacking.
When the dust settles most will have appreciated the highs of the Moyes period. I certainly will. I recognise all the desires of those who wanted things to be different but it was never going to happen as the results weren't shit enough except last year for a period. Not to say it's been good since Christmas but we did so well before.
I'd like to see a whole new period now that we can all get behind and feel equally proud of but one thing West Ham is not used to is a drama free life of mediocracy.

Come On You Irons 12:11 Tue May 7

I think at face value it is a big rebuilding job. But maybe if you break it down to parts it is not so bad.

Hopefully we play a more attacking style and have much more ball. So that relieves pressure on CB's. In that case I think Mavropanos and Aguerd are suitable. Aguerd looks much more assured when bringing the ball out and not constantly under the cosh.

Emerson is solid at left back / wing back. Although I do feel now we need an upgrade at RB so that for me is a priority.

Between Soucek, JWP and Alvarez we have DM covered.

Kudus, Bowen, Paqueta and Antonio will cover attacking options. But I do feel we need an upgrade for striker (been saying that for years).

The big thing is Paqueta. If he goes for big money then that can be invested and we may see lots of new faces. If he stays (hopefully) them massive boost and maybe not so many new faces.

So if Paq stays - I would say priority is RB and striker - Possibly upgrade on Soucek / JWP. And then need to be clever in transfer market to get some players to upgrade the bench. Hopefully the new man is more positive with young players and can coach them into the first team pathway instead of just throwing them to the lions like Moyes did.
